Children will be instructed in the basic fundamentals and skills of basketball including dribbling, shooting, passing and the basic rules of the game. One hour class sessions will be held between 10:30AM - 2:30PM. Participants will be placed into sessions by Recreation Department staff and notified prior to the start of the program as to which class they are in.

John Jay Travel Basketball, sponsored by the Lewisboro Parks & Recreation Department, is a competitive program focused on creating a positive environment where athletes can improve their individual skills and understand team basketball concepts.
All teams are formed through tryouts and games are played in the Tri-County Basketball League. Games can take place in local school gyms, offering a competitive experience against teams from neighboring towns.
All players MUST participate in the Lewisboro Recreation basketball program.

This is a developmentally appropriate introductory basketball program for children 3-5 years old. The program prepares children for organized basketball in a fun, non-threatening environment.
